St. John´s Primary School

St. John´s Primary School was built immediately after the completion of the church and was opened on the 30th October 1881. The average attendance for 1881-1882 was forty-five children. By 1902 the average attendance had risen to ninety-nine children and an addition was built to the school to accommodate the extra fifty children. The original school cost £338-4-3 and the additional wing £433-12-3. In 1997 the school was further extended, this provided two new classrooms, a staff room and disabled toilet.

Work on the creation of the New School Building has now begun.
